Making Homemade Sweet Mochi!

Below is the recipe for homemade sweet mochi! This is a great and delicious recipe to try out! Due to the pandemic, many of us are spending more hours at home than we used to. One of the best ways to spend time building your relationships with your family is by cooking something delicious together! Not only will you have fun in the process, but you'll also have a delicious treat to enjoy in the end! Ingredients: Glutinous Rice flour/Sweet Rice flour - 1 cup Water - 3/4 cup Sugar - 3 tablespoons (optional, can exclude to be more healthy) Cornstarch - amount varies (you can also use some other edible powder, like powdered sugar) Filling for mochi - red bean paste, bananas, ice cream, etc. (optional, but mochi tastes best with filling!) Oil - 1/2 tbsp (optional, but this will save you a lot of dishwashing time!) God blessed the morning of our flight so that everything went quickly and smoothly – the car ride to the airport, the security check, and finding our boarding gate. We arrived at the gate of our departure over 2 hours early! While we waited for our flight, I read my Bible, wrote in my Bible journal, jotted down a few paragraphs in my diary, and then walked around the airport with my mom. While we were walking around, we found a bookstore! I started reading books, and then I lost track of time... "Grace, we need to go!" called my brother. I glanced at my watch. Wow! It was 10:00 am! It's so hard to believe that it's already the middle of July! Time passes so fast! Summer is half-over already! Highlights of this year's summer: Homeschooling Fair! We had the fun of hosting our own booth this year! Ice Cream and Pie eating contest! Playing basketball at Grijalva Park: Food! (homecooked!) Sweet potato fries (made by Grace) Taking classes at Santiago Canyon College: Weekend trip to San Diego! Bible Bee meetings at our Local Bee!!!!
