Popsicles in Taiwan!

Image
More about Taiwan... We got to eat delicious home-made popsicles in Taiwan! Popsicles are one of the special local products in this part of Taiwan.  Below is Theodore and I in front of the popsicle store: The word in front of the store,  "冰",  is pronounced "bing" . It means "ice", and it can stand for cold desserts like ice cream, shaved ice, and popsicles.. Each of us chose a different flavor!  Daddy chose durian , Mommy chose taro , Catherine chose pineapple , Anabel chose milk , Theodore chose black sugar , and I chose passion fruit . We were very happy that we could find one that Theodore could eat (he has allergy)! Daddy finished first, and then Catherine! Anabel and Theodore took their time and finished last! :) The popsicles were SUPER delicious!!! Below are the wrappers of all our popsicles (except for Daddy's). Can you spot the Chinese Character "冰" "bing" on the popsicles?

5 favorite desserts in Taiwan!

Taiwan is the food-lover's paradise. If you walk on the street, you will discover that about 70% of the stores sell some kind of food, about 29% sell clothes, and about 1% sells pets and toys. I really love eating dessert (though I eat with self-control), so in this post, I will write about some of my 5 favorite desserts in Taiwan. #1 I will first introduce the Pearl Milk Tea! I'm not sure if this counts as a dessert, but I think it tastes good enough to be one! #2 Mochi is also one of my favorite desserts in Taiwan. You can find many flavors of mochi here in Taiwan. Below is the peanut-sesame flavored mochi . #3 Another of my favorite desserts in Taiwan are the buns and the bread. The buns and bread in Taiwan are all soft and sweet. Most of them have butter and milk, so they all taste like dessert. Below is my favorite bun - Taro bun! #4 Theodore cannot eat most of the buns in Taiwan because they usually contain egg or mi...

Haagen Daaz Ice Cream Mooncake

Image
Mooncakes are eaten in China during the Mid-Autumn Festival. They are commonly given as presents to friends and family. Daddy's student gave us mooncake this week. The mooncake was not normal, it was a special, modern, western-style mooncake - Ice Cream Mooncake! This is the coupon that Daddy's student gave him. We are going to go pick up the mooncake! We rode the subway to the mall to pick up the mooncake. We posed for a photo at the pick-up station. Yay! We've picked up the mooncake! We'll go to the park to enjoy the ice cream mooncake. The ice cream was set in a beautiful box. Inside were 7 small mooncakes (stars) and 1 big mooncake (the moon). Each mooncake was a different flavor. My mooncake was strawberry flavor. Anabel had orange-pomelo. We tried each other's flavors. They are all SOOOOOOOO delicious! Catherine's mooncake was green tea. I originally had green tea and she had strawberry, but we swi...
