Our New Invention: Coconut Cream Pancakes!!!

Today, my mom invented a new delicious dish - Coconut Cream Pancakes!

Ingredients: Flour, Water, Coconut Cream, Oil, Sugar.

 All you do is simply mix the ingredients together...


And then cook it on the pan!

 Mmm... they tasted SOOOOOOOOO good!

 Enjoy! :)

Sacramento: Family Conference

     This year, our family went to the Family Conference in Sacramento.  This year's theme was "Trust in the LORD".  My younger sister went to a program called "PRE-EMBASSY", and I went to COMMIT in the morning and Student Sessions in the afternoon.  The rest of our family attended the General Session. Tuesday      On the first day of the conference, we registered at around 5:00pm and listened to a few talks that night. Wednesday      On the first day of COMMIT, we learned a song called "Still, my soul be still", which we practiced every day and sang at the end of the Conference.  Also, we each received our COMMIT booklet.  Inside the booklet, there were devotionals for each day at the conference and pages for notes. At the Beach in Tel Aviv

We spent a few days of our time in Israel in Tel Aviv.  Tel Aviv is near the Ancient City of Joppa. I'm sure you all know where that is! Joppa is a port. That is where Jonah fled from to Ninevah! We rode the bus from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv. This is Freckles on the bus: Tel Aviv is by the Mediterranean Sea. It is very warm and humid. The view at the port is beautiful! We even got to see a boat! We also got to see an adorable cat. On our last night in Tel Aviv, Theodore made a tower out of playing cards! He also cooked delicious beef (a big treat because meat in Israel is expensive!) for us for dinner! After that, we went to the beach. At night, Tel Aviv is a shining city. Multnomah Falls

     Since Multnomah Falls is really close to Bonneville Dam, we went there after we visited Bonneville Dam. Multnomah Falls, at a distance, after we parked our car. We went to the Visitor Center and did the Junior Ranger Program.  I also talked with a volunteer worker who was at the desk.  He was an old man, and he had been volunteering since 1989.      "You should really go on the bridge," he said, "It only takes 5 minutes to walk up there."      He continued, "If it takes 5 minutes to get up there, how long do you suppose it will take to get down?"      Without thinking, I said, "Well, it takes 5 minute to get to the bridge, but if you jump down, I think it will only take a few seconds."      I continued, after a short pause, "But, of course, we won't jump.  We'll probably take the same trail back down.  I suppose that will be about 5 minutes too." Grand Canyon (6/16)

Tuesday, June 16th 2020 We are in Arizona! We were so blessed to be able to visit the Grand Canyon! "O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—" -Psalm 104:26 My family at the Grand Canyon! Playgrounds in Israel

We got to visit lots of playgrounds in Israel! They are different from the ones in the U.S. and they are really fun! This playground was in the Old City, Jerusalem.  The swing was really fun! The park was really fun! You could slide down and also climb up! Sliding down! There were also two long blue slides! We also got to visit two parks in Tel Aviv. The first park was like an amusement park. It had like 20+ swings! This park also had two of the swings that we saw in Jerusalem! This park also had a giant playground with at least 12 slides! There was something that you could go on and it would take you down to the ground! Near this park in Tel Aviv was another park. It was really fun, too. At the Beach in San Diego!

Weekend family trip to San Diego! At the beach... Seashells... Scenery... "The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,  The world and those who dwell therein.  For He has founded it upon the seas,  And established it upon the waters." -Psalm 24:1-2 There was a hole in the ground that was connected to the ocean. There was a stream in it, and water flowed in and out with the waves.  It was pretty wide - maybe 3 or 4 feet at its width. Catherine decided to go for a challenge and jumped across! Tide pools... There were lots of plants, snails, and little crabs in the tide pools.  I wrote my name in the sand, just for fun. Everything in God's creation is so unique! Pacific Science Center (Seattle)

My favorite part about Science Centers are the interactive displays.  The Pacific Science Center had lots of interactive, hands-on displays! We all had a great time at the Science Center. The Well-body Academy of Health and Wellness is an exhibit for kids that teaches you how to take care of your body and stay in good health. There are four areas in the Well-body exhibit: Food and Nutrition, Sleep, Exercise, and Hygiene. At the Food and Nutrition  area, we learned to eat healthy foods and the correct amount of Calories. In the Sleep  Exhibit, I learned that we need to sleep enough. Exercise is very important for health. Hygiene Let's go upstairs to the WELLBODY LOFT! Exercise well, Eat well, Sleep well, Wash well, and LIVE well! The Age Your Face  Display showed you the bad effects of smoking, UV exposure, and obesity on aging. The Shuk in Israel

Whenever someone asks me, "What is your favorite place that you visited in Israel?", I always answer, "The Shuk". "Shuk" means "street market" in Hebrew. I love going to the Shuk. The Shuk is always full of life and bustling with people. It is a very exciting place to visit in Jerusalem. There are the most people in the Shuk on Friday morning. This is because the Shuk closes early on Friday because of Shabbat and everyone needs to buy extra food ahead of time. Here is a picture of one of the emptier streets in the Shuk: Almost every type of food is sold in the Shuk: meat, vegetables, fruit, bread, grains, rice, spices, dessert, candy, and packaged food. The most colorful and attractive shops of the Shuk sell candy. We don't buy candy, but it looks very tempting.
