Seabridge Park!!!

Today, we went to Seabridge Park (in Huntington Beach) with the Lu Family (kids: Nathan, Joshua, Bella, Noah).

Seabridge Park is a lagoon, and there are no waves so it is very safe. It is also part of the ocean, so the water is salty.


We had a great time playing and wading in the water.


Theodore enjoyed paddling.


We also had fun digging a pool and building a sand castle.


The best part was burying people in the sand. We buried Noah and Bella. Below is a video of us burying Bella inside the sand.

OC Fair 2023!

When my siblings and I were younger, our family would go to OC Fair every summer. We have great memories from the Centennial Farm and the Read & Ride program. The last time I went to OC Fair was before the COVID-19 pandemic.  This August 2023, my sisters and I and some friends went to the OC Fair together (the rest of the family wanted to come but weren't able to make it this time). The Lord was SO good to us. We got good parking, the weather was cool, the sky was cloudy, and we had an amazing and memorable time. Selfie at the OC Fair with my sisters! Highlights from Lava Beds National Monument - part 1 (6/27/2023 Tuesday)

It's been a while since I last posted on this blog (last post in 2020)! Time has flown by so quickly. For 2020, 2021, and 2022, our family has been blessed to do a fun summer road trip from CA to the east coast. We've been blessed to visit the OH Scriptorium, dear friends, and fun places along the way. This year, we weren't able to make it to the east coast again, but we are doing a short 1-week trip up to northern CA and Oregon.  My family and I were blessed to visit Lava Beds National Monument again! Grand Canyon (6/16)

Tuesday, June 16th 2020 We are in Arizona! We were so blessed to be able to visit the Grand Canyon! "O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—" -Psalm 104:26 My family at the Grand Canyon! Ha Kotel - The Western Wall

"Ha Kotel" means "The Wall" in Hebrew. The Western Wall, also known a s  the Wailing Wall, is the most holy place for Jews all over the world. So, what's so special about the Western Wall? The Western Wall was part of the wall that surrounded the walls of the temple. The Western Wall is the closest surviving wall to the Most Holy place. People from all over the world pray at the Western Wall. The Western Wall is also known as "The Wailing Wall" because many people weep because the temple is destroyed and because God's people have not returned to Him. Before you enter the Western Wall, you must go through security check first. The Western Wall is very safe! After security check, you descend down the stairs to the Wall. A sign welcomes you at the right. It says, "Welcome to the Western Wall, a remnant of the Temple". Psalm 112:6-7 is written on the sign in Hebrew and English. The Western Wall is a...

Animals in Israel

We got to see lots of Animals in Israel! We especially got to see lots of adorable cats. There was a time when there were too many mice in Israel. So, they imported lots of cats. The mice population died down. The cats stayed. We visited a family in Migdal. They showed us their pet turtle and let us ride on their horse Dusty. We also got to see many birds in Israel. There were many birds in the Old City of Jerusalem and at the Western Wall. They liked to sit in the cracks of the Old walls. In Tel Aviv, we got to see lots of crabs at the beach. There were gray-speckled crabs and even white crabs! Watch this video to see the crabs walking! We also saw lions in the Old City! Highlights from Lava Beds National Monument - part 2

On Thursday 6/29/2023, we visited Lava Beds National Monument again! We got to explore Hopkin's chocolate cave, Golden Dome cave, and Hercules' leg cave.  Enjoy these photos! Outside the caves, there was a sweet butterfly that kept flying around us. Then, it landed on Catherine's helmet and didn't want to leave. I was able to get some beautiful close-up pictures. Here we are outside Golden Dome cave!  Dad outside a cave (I think it's a different one from the one above. It's our car in the background, too!) I think this entrance is called the "headache" entrance or something like that. That is because the entrance is so narrow that people sometimes accidentally bump their head on the ledge! Thankfully we are all on the smaller side and we were careful and didn't bump our heads. Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum

This museum was one selectively chose by Catherine. She is very interested in war planes, and this museum displays tanks and planes that have been in the war. This tank above is the  R-11M with 8U218 TEL (SS-1b Scud-A) Ballistic Missile System , built by the Soviet Union. Soviet Union tanks are  really  powerful. The Harley-Davidson WLA   motorcycle (below) was made by the United States. They were used for scouting, messenger services, patrol duties, and convoy escort. They can travel up to 120 miles at 65 MPH (on pavement).  The exhibit was REALLY big. There were at least 200 tanks and planes on display. Below are some of them: The  Panzerkampfwagen Ausf. H  made by Germany. The Kettenkrafttrad Sd.Kfz.2  made by Germany. Designed at motorcycle for military. After the war, it was converted to use as farm equipment. Plane! Trip to Tianjin! (May 2019)

This May, our family traveled to Tianjin! Tianjin is one stop (30 minutes) from Beijing by High Speed Rail. The High Speed is REALLY fast - it can go up to 300-some kilometers an hour! Everyone is traveling at around this time, so the High Speed Rail station was really crowded! There are a lot of stores at the High Speed Rail station in Beijing. There is even McDonalds and a restaurant called "Beef Noodles from California, USA"! Hmm... I don't think I remember ever eating beef noodles in California!! My Dad says that the "Beef Noodles from California, USA" store was already in Beijing 30 years ago, so perhaps there really were beef noodles in Californian 30 years ago (though not now anymore)!
