Up in the air! Beijing to Vancouver...
We're up in the air again!
This time, from Beijing to Vancouver (we'll be transferring there)!
The wind was big and strong today, but the sky was blue and the clouds were white and puffy.
We waited in the plane for a while, because it was not safe to fly in such a strong wind.
Meanwhile, we were busy taking pictures!
Freckles the bunny on the plane:
Anabel:
As usual, there was a Safety Booklet that taught you about what to do in the case of an emergency.
Also located in the pocket of the seat in front of you was a magazine: Air Canada's magazine.
The magazine was mostly about duty-free items for sale, advertisements, and news articles, but there was also a fun puzzle inside!
There was also a description of the planes in the Air Canada fleet. The Boeing 737 MAX-8 plane was one of them, too.
Finally, after a long period of waiting, our plane took off!
In the air... at last!
Good-bye, Beijing!
I decided to have some fun with our juice cups!
Anabel and I on the plane:
Soon after we got into the air, we flew through a cloud. Everything outside the window was gray, and the plane kept shaking up and down. It was one of the biggest turbulences that I've ever been through.
After a night's rest, morning came (way earlier that usual!)
The water droplets on the window that looked like this yesterday:
froze and looked like this the next morning:
The hours passed, and we neared our destination.
Outside, the view turned from dim morning light into bright blue sky and puffy white clouds!
"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen."
-Revelation 1:7
"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."
-1 Thessalonians 4:17
Jesus said, “I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”
-Mark 14:62
"For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;"
-Psalm 103:11
It was so cool to see the mountains beneath the clouds.
Soon, the clouds passed by, and we could see the ocean!
We were getting close to Vancouver, so our plane flew at a lower altitude. We could evens see boats on the ocean!
Soon, the ocean turned into land...
We could even see the plane's shadow on the ground below!
Zoom in a bit...
Landing!
Hello Canada!
The landing was so smooth that I didn't notice when we touched the ground!
We left a thank-you note for the cabin crew:
After landing...
Pictures of Air Canada planes!
This one below was about to take off.
Loading and unloading luggage:
After landing, the screen read, "Welcome aboard to Air Canada".
Praise the Lord for a safe flight!
