Our beloved pet Froggy joined our family in October 2019.

Froggy loves hopping around and exploring the room!



He'll jump at any moment. Usually, when you see him turn his head and focus on an object far away, you know he's about to jump!


Froggy's favorite foods are crickets and other creepy crawlies!

We got to visit lots of playgrounds in Israel! They are different from the ones in the U.S. and they are really fun! This playground was in the Old City, Jerusalem.  The swing was really fun! The park was really fun! You could slide down and also climb up! Sliding down! There were also two long blue slides! We also got to visit two parks in Tel Aviv. The first park was like an amusement park. It had like 20+ swings! This park also had two of the swings that we saw in Jerusalem! This park also had a giant playground with at least 12 slides! There was something that you could go on and it would take you down to the ground! Near this park in Tel Aviv was another park. It was really fun, too. Food in Israel

One of my favorite things in Israel is the food! I LOVE food, and every country and culture has its own unique type of food. Israel is no exception! In the Bible, God promised to bring the Israelites into Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey . The seven biblical fruits of Israel are: Wheat Barley Grapes Figs Pomegranates Olives Dates Although these 7 fruits are the 7 special fruits of Israel, but there are also lots of other delicious food in Israel! In this post, I will focus more on food in Israel, and I will talk about fruits in Israel in another post. There is too much delicious food in Israel than can be contained in 5 blog posts. Grand Canyon (6/16)

Tuesday, June 16th 2020 We are in Arizona! We were so blessed to be able to visit the Grand Canyon! "O Lord, how manifold are Your works! In wisdom You have made them all. The earth is full of Your possessions—" -Psalm 104:26 My family at the Grand Canyon! A Day at Seward Park

A place that many friends have recommended us to go to is Seward Park. Seward Park is by a lake, and there are swimming areas. There is also a playground and hiking trails.  The Playground We spent a lot of time at the playground. This is Anabel on the tight rope: Anabel Carefully walking Succeeded! Good Job! Theodore gave it a try, too. Theodore You can do it, Theodore! Yay! Great Job, Theodore! Catherine had a nice time on the swings. The best part of the playground was the zipline. We've never been on one in a playground in CA, so this was very special. Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park

Here we are, in Seattle, at the Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park.  Gold was found on the Klondike River in Alaska. Thousands of gold miners headed for Alaska to mine for gold. Here, in Seattle, is the place where those gold miners stopped for supplies on their trip to Alaska. Businesses in Seattle boomed. It was not easy to travel to Alaska. The winter was cold and harsh, and miners and horses died on the way. Many gave up and turned back. By the time most of them got to the Klondike River, all the gold was already gone. Very few actually struck it rich. Others, however, "struck it rich" in a different way. Many women became wealthy from cooking and doing laundry for the miners. Many businesses were also established during the time of the Gold Rush. Most of all, because of the Gold Rush, Seattle grew from a small town to the big, bustling city that it is today. OC Fair 2023!

When my siblings and I were younger, our family would go to OC Fair every summer. We have great memories from the Centennial Farm and the Read & Ride program. The last time I went to OC Fair was before the COVID-19 pandemic.  This August 2023, my sisters and I and some friends went to the OC Fair together (the rest of the family wanted to come but weren't able to make it this time). The Lord was SO good to us. We got good parking, the weather was cool, the sky was cloudy, and we had an amazing and memorable time. Selfie at the OC Fair with my sisters! When we entered the museum, we were greeted by a very sweet young lady who introduced us to the exhibit.  The first floor of the museum featured Stanley Troutman, a war correspondent during WWII. Crater Lake National Park

We were blessed to visit Crater Lake on 6/28 Wednesday! This lake is the deepest volcanic lake in the world and the deepest lake in the United States. And, it's so cool and beautiful! (photo taken by Dad) Even in the middle of the summer, with daytime temperatures warm enough to wear T-shirts, there is snow!

Looking Back - the 8 days of Sukkot in Jerusalem

Looking back, so many things happened this Sukkot in Israel! It was amazing!!! Day 1 On the first day and almost every day throughout the 8 days of Sukkot, we had a lot of fun playing in the Independence Park with kids from Israel and from all over the world. In the evening of the first day of Sukkot, we also attended a worship service in a sukkah at Roeh Israel (Netivyah) . It was amazing meeting people from all over the world, from Germany, England, America, Korea, and Romania! Day 2 On Tuesday, the second day of Sukkot, we visited  the Israel Museum  and had fun watching the kite festival. Day 3 On Wednesday, day 3 of Sukkot, we played at  the Independence park  again and joined some friends in their sukkah at French Hill for a fellowship BBQ. Our friends' sukkah Arm wrestling at Independence Park Day 4 Thursday, the 4th day, was the Jerusalem March! The Jerusalem March was one of the best parts of this Sukkot. ...

Multnomah Falls

     Since Multnomah Falls is really close to Bonneville Dam, we went there after we visited Bonneville Dam. Multnomah Falls, at a distance, after we parked our car. We went to the Visitor Center and did the Junior Ranger Program.  I also talked with a volunteer worker who was at the desk.  He was an old man, and he had been volunteering since 1989.      "You should really go on the bridge," he said, "It only takes 5 minutes to walk up there."      He continued, "If it takes 5 minutes to get up there, how long do you suppose it will take to get down?"      Without thinking, I said, "Well, it takes 5 minute to get to the bridge, but if you jump down, I think it will only take a few seconds."      I continued, after a short pause, "But, of course, we won't jump.  We'll probably take the same trail back down.  I suppose that will be about 5 minutes too."
