Our beloved pet Froggy joined our family in October 2019.

Froggy loves hopping around and exploring the room!



He'll jump at any moment. Usually, when you see him turn his head and focus on an object far away, you know he's about to jump!


Froggy's favorite foods are crickets and other creepy crawlies!

It was YOU who came into my life when I was an 18-month old baby. It was because of YOU that, at 18 months, I was promoted from the status of "baby of the family" to "older sister". Up in the Mountains of Fuzhou!

This week, we went up to a mountain in Fuzhou with some friends. Our friends have a cabin in the mountain, and they raise chickens.    The chickens range in color from black, brown, yellow, to white.  During the day, the chickens run free. At night, they return home and sleep in the trees near the house. Yes, the chickens sleep in the trees! There are many roosters in the flock of chickens. Below is one of them. The picture is a little bit blurry because the rooster is always running around and never stands still. They also have 3 dogs. The mama dog is 9 years old, and she has two sons. One son is 6, and the other is 1-2 years old.  The 6-year old dog is the most brave dog, and he likes to eat sweet potatoes. The mama dog is the most shy. Sneek peeks of Huntington Beach Local Bee!

Here are some sneak peeks of all the fun we are having at Huntington Beach Local Bee this summer! Every Sunday since June 2nd, 20-some contestants and their families get together at Huntington Beach to study for the Bible Bee together! Our Local Bee's wonderful hosts are two sisters, Kristie and Joanna Tang! Huntington Beach Local Bee: Kristi, Julianna, Anabel, Hannah, Bethany Huntington Beach Local Bee: Theodore, Joshua, Daniel Contestant Introductions! (6/2- Anabel) Each Local Bee meeting begins with a lesson, which is usually about the Unit we studied in the Discovery Journal for the week. Kristie and Joanna (our co-hosts) pull names out of a hat each week. Whoever's name is pulled out gets to go up on stage and recite a passage in front of everyone! Seabridge Park!!!

Today, we went to Seabridge Park (in Huntington Beach) with the Lu Family (kids: Nathan, Joshua, Bella, Noah). Seabridge Park is a lagoon, and there are no waves so it is very safe. It is also part of the ocean, so the water is salty. We had a great time playing and wading in the water. Theodore enjoyed paddling. We also had fun digging a pool and building a sand castle. The best part was burying people in the sand. We buried Noah and Bella. Below is a video of us burying Bella inside the sand.

The Taiwanese Market

The Market in Taiwan is a very fun and exciting place to be in. It is a lot like the Shuk in Israel . The Market is noisy and crowded, and almost everything is sold there. You can find fruits, vegetables, purses, shoes, clothes, fish, noodles, pastries, hot pot, and even fresh clams and pig hooves! We visited the Market around Lunchtime, so we looked for hot food first. Below is Theodore eating the delicious sweet potato (the purple kind) pancake! The vendors made them on the spot, so they were fresh and hot. We bought 2 for 50 Taiwanese yuan. Roughly 30 Taiwanese yuan equals 1 US dollar. Mmm! We also ate egg pancake with cheese. Daddy ordered one with cabbage in it. The lady also made the egg pancakes on the spot! Each egg pancake was around 30 Taiwanese yuan. We also bought roasted duck for dinner! The Humming Bird Aviary (at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum)

On our way back to California from Texas, we visited the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum! My favorite part of the Museum was the Hummingbird Aviary.  Here are some pictures of the hummingbirds. Enjoy! This little bird was eating from the feeder: Hummingbirds come in all colors, including green! One of the best places to find hummingbirds is next to the feeders. More little hummingbirds... Hummingbirds are small and hard to spot, but it's fun to find them! The best surprise of all: A hummingbird nest!!!

A Day at Seward Park

A place that many friends have recommended us to go to is Seward Park. Seward Park is by a lake, and there are swimming areas. There is also a playground and hiking trails.  The Playground We spent a lot of time at the playground. This is Anabel on the tight rope: Anabel Carefully walking Succeeded! Good Job! Theodore gave it a try, too. Theodore You can do it, Theodore! Yay! Great Job, Theodore! Catherine had a nice time on the swings. The best part of the playground was the zipline. We've never been on one in a playground in CA, so this was very special. Israel

On our trip to Israel, we flew on an Israeli airline called EL AL. Our first meal had pasta, chicken, pita bread (delicious!), grapes, potato chips, a slice of chocolate cake, and a drink.  After fifteen hours on the airplane, we landed in Israel.  As soon as the airplane touched the ground, almost everyone in the plane shouted and clapped.  Was it because our airplane stayed safe (and in the air) throughout the whole flight? We went through the customs, got our three tiny luggage (each less than 2 feet tall and 1 foot wide) from the baggage claim, and exited the airport.  The ride to the apartment where we would be staying was quite long.  However, I happened to be sitting next to my brother, who is both a very good comedian and a very good storyteller.  For the whole ride I sat listening to his entertaining story of animals (deer, cows, horses, skunks, and rabbits). The birds upon the treetops...

As I went for a walk today, I heard the sound of chirping above me. I looked up, and there were a bunch of sparrows chirping happily in the pine tree above me! It reminded me of the song: The birds upon the tree tops sing their song; The angels chant their chorus all day long; The flowers in the garden blend their hue, So why shouldn’t I, why shouldn’t you praise Him too? It is not easy to take photos of sparrows, because they are always moving and flying around, but anyway, I hope you all enjoy the photos below! Let us remember praise the Lord!
